Jets End Cornerback Revis’ Holdout

Ending the month long holdout of cornerback Revis, the New York Jets have agreed to a deal with Revis. Making an official announcement about the contract early Monday morning, the Jets did not reveal the terms of the contract though. The fourth-year player, Revis was last years’ All-pro selection and had three more years left on his rookie contract. Apparently, there were rough negotiations going on between the Jets and Revis, as he wanted to be the highest-paid player at the position he held. Hawaii quarterback Bryant Moniz left the season-opener game against No.14 Southern California Thursday after being hit hard near the head by linebacker Michael Morgan. Moniz completed 18-of-36 passes for 269 yards and pulled a score for the Warriors (0-1). He scrambled for 13 yards to the USC5 late in third before leaving the game. He was replaced by Brent Rausch. The Cleveland Browns topped the Chicago Bears 13-10 Thursday, courtesy to 36-yard last second field goal by Phil Dawson. Interestingly, this field goal from Dawson was the single scoring play in the second half of the game for both teams. Colt McCoy, rookie quarterback for the Browns, completed all 13 of his passes for 131 yards to give a fantastic performance in the first half.
